Luke Shaw believes it is 'certain' that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be appointed Manchester United manager on a permanent basis following the club's stunning Champions League win in Paris.United became the first club in European Cup history to progress after losing the first-leg 2-0 at home, beating Paris Saint-Germain on away goals to qualify for the quarter-finals with an injury-time penalty from Marcus Rashford. It has increased the clamour for caretaker boss Solskjaer to be installed full-time after winning all nine of his away games in charge, with PSG joining Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea among United's victims. 'We all love Ole and we love the job he's done so far.'We're enjoying everything that's going on at the moment and the results have shown that. We've had a couple of blips but that's nine away matches now, and they're not easy games. But it shows what sort of Ole and his staff have done. Long may that continue.'I believe in the team, even with the injuries we've had. I felt we were capable of pulling something off and even earlier today I said to (reserve keeper) Lee Grant that we were going to win, I could feel it.'But that sums up what the mood is like in the camp now. It's a big plus for the boss and what he's done in this period of time and how much he's changed things around. We've got so much more to look forward too.'The win at Juve (in the group stage) was very impressive but this tops that, not just the way we've done it but the injuries we've had and the people who have had to step in.'The young boys who have been with us have been incredible for the last two or three days. 'I'm really pleased for the whole team, the staff and the manager for what we've achieved. Nobody had done it before but to do it in these circumstances and do it here is incredible.'Rashford kept his cool to beat Gianluigi Buffon at the Parc des Princes after two first-half goals from Romelu Lukaku had hauled United back into the tie.'Rashy has got so much confidence and belief in his own ability, I don't think that fazed him,' added Shaw. 'A shout out to Romelu as well, the last three games he's been really impressive and hopefully his form continues because we need him.' Share this article Share
