It would be really nice for the New England Patriots to win a postseason game and the NFL not have to change an entire rule because of it, but it looks like the sorest losers in the history of the NFL are at it again, reports came out yesterday that Andy Reid is submitting a case that both teams get a chance to get the ball in overtime instead of the game ending if the first team scores a touchdown. Now in the grand scheme of things I actually agree with Andy because I've been saying forever that the NFL has the stupidest overtime rule in all of the North American sports, the stupidest is the world Cup championship coming down to penalty kicks. But even though I agree with it doesn't mean I don't find humour in the fact that worst playoff coach of all time is protesting this rule right after his defence failed to stop the Patriots because let's not forget defence is a part of the game. But after his defence failed to stop the Patriots in the AFC Championship game Reid is protesting the rule because taking the loss like a man just doesn't exist in Kansas City. I never disliked the Chiefs before, I really never gave them much thought. They've been a pretty good team that owned the Patriots a couple of times and I guess you could say I hated them as a competitor but I had no beef with the organization or their fans as a whole. But then they lost the AFC Championship and I have been sick by how bad of losers they are, especially with a fanbase who should be use to it by now. I've had to mute almost every single Chiefs twitter user because their constant bitching and moaning was making me sick to my stomach. Anyways I'm willing to bet you almost every dollar I have that there is no way in hell Andy Reid complains about the overtime rule if they win the coin toss and score. I love how Chief fans think they lost to a coin toss when the reality is they lost because their offence was shutout for an entire half in their so called Kingdom. They lost because they made a game winning interception, their ticket to the Super Bowl was booked, but Dee Ford who will never have to pay for a drink in New England again lined up offside. I never hear a Chief fan say man Tom Brady ate our lunch on third down and the Patriots quarterback outsmarted us on every play, nope the reason the Chiefs loss was because of a roughing the passer call on second down and a coin toss.
I've really made a valid effort to just ignore the Chiefs conquered kingdom, but they keep sucking me back in. When the Patriots lost to the Eagles in Super Bowl 52 we looked inward, we all know there was no catch on a touchdown that got counted but we don't consume ourselves with trivial facts because we all know Nick Foles owned our Malcolm Butlerless defence. Just like the Chiefs our league MVP lost the big game… well it was a bigger game but you get the comparison. Just take the L and move on, focus on 2019. You have the MVP of the National Football League, everybody and their grandmother sees you as a legitimate threat in the AFC, stop griping on a game you lost fair and square. And I know that triggered a bunch of you to comment about the roughing the passer call so while you're doing that please man up and explain on why the three missed pass interference calls and your outrageous pick play was fair. Alright time to move on and go back to focusing on the defending Super Bowl Champions the Patriots of New England.
