Descartes Meditation I - Of the things which may be brought into Doubt

Descartes Meditation I - Of the things which may be brought into Doubt Join George and John as they discuss and debate different Philosophical ideas. Today they begin their journey through Descartes Meditations on First Philosophy. This video will look into the first Meditation entitled – “Concerning those things that can be called into doubt.”

The two will look into Descartes search for truth and knowledge and discuss his method of universal doubt. Does Descartes have good reason to doubt the existence of everything, to totally disregard all knowledge he has attained throughout his life. If our senses have deceived us then is it possible they always deceive us? Could there in fact be an evil demon deceiving us at every possible moment? Are we perhaps just living in a dream world?
In order to reach the ultimate truth we must first doubt the truth of everything.

Watch as George and John debate one of the most important Philosophical works of all time.
