Get a Blacklight!:
If you buy a lot of items online, you're eventually going to run into this situation where something arrives that is not as described. In the guitar world, this can mean hidden headstock repairs, replaced parts, needed maintenance or a foul odor. On other items, it might just be it doesn't work or isn't authentic.
This video will teach you how to properly confront the seller about issues with your item. No one likes to be accused of being a crook so it all comes down to staying polite and being careful with your words. Let the sell know there is an issue and what can be done to solve it without being a jerk.
This happened (again) recently when I purchased a 1975 Gibson SG Custom. The guitar arrived with a hidden headstock repair. I was able to get it returned. I did do a video on it that will be posted at a later date. A repaired guitar is NOT a bad guitar, but it definitely affects the value.
Everyone should own a blacklight if you're buying guitars online!
