Robbery by force at Walmart parking lot located at 5405 S. Rice Ave. HPD case #165518-19

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a robbery by force.

On Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 11:00 am, the complainant, who owns a business, walked into the Walmart to withdraw some money at 5405 South Rice Avenue, in Houston, Texas. The male stated that as he exited the store, he was approached from behind by an unknown male, who forcibly took the money from him and then took off running. The victim attempted to run after the suspect, but fell after a short distance and lost sight of him. HPD case #165518-19

The surveillance video captures the suspect inside the store watching the victim as he withdrew the money. The suspect then went outside and waited for the victim to come out.

Suspect description: Black male, 25 to 28 years old, 6’0 to 6’1, brown hair, brown eyes, medium complexion, red pants, black shirt and white shoes.
