Russia: A nation of cat lovers mobilizes to provide shelter for strays | Focus on Europe

Russians are feline-friendly. No country in the world has a higher rate of cat ownership. Nearly 60 percent of Russians have at least one cat. And some cat lovers put up strays in makeshift shelters in their homes. And don't even think about pluffing up that vent in your basement.
