Why Being Indian I Consider Pakistan's Imran Khan a Hero & India's Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman a Zero If you check any Indian news channel today, you will hear high praise and exultation for what India's Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman managed to achieve and yes, what India managed to accomplish. According to the Indian Media, India managed to 'buckle' Pakistan or like how some of them have stated they managed to drive 'fear' into Prime Minister Imran Khan to release the prisoner. And the best among them, how this is a victory for India.
However, if you look at it from a very neutral point of view and evaluate it logically - Pakistan had the upper hand after the Indian pilot got captured. And they could have used this as a means to increase its bargaining power. However, doing this would not only make matters worse, it would have further escalated an already present overblown crisis. But common sense & sensible leadership prevailed thanks to the Prime Minister of Pakistan - Imran Khan who decided to not only deescalate the matter but also resolve the issue by handing over the Pilot back to the Indian authorities but also giving a message of peace.
