Wild Game Blind Taste Test | 5 Different Types of Burger Meat

Many people make claims about certain types of wild game being superior in taste, while also looking down upon other species for tasting "gamey". Field Producer Marcus Hockett wants to put those notions to the test, with a blind taste test.

His wife Kara grills up burgers of five different species: Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Elk, Antelope and Coues Deer. Each patty is 100% lean ground meat (no added beef or pork fat) and is seasoned with the same small amount of salt and pepper.

Marcus invites 5 friends and co-workers over to be participants in his experiment. Each person tastes all 5 types and writes down which species they think it is made from and also which one is their favorite. The results may surprise you.
