World War 3: UK’s nuclear bunkers built in the event of disaster MAPPED

DONALD TRUMP and Kim Jong Un are set to meet in Vietnam this week to discuss nuclear negotiations. Despite thawing relations between the USA and North Korea, the threat of nuclear war is still at large. In the event of World War Three - these are the UK’s nuclear bunkers.

Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un are meeting this week for the second time but despite improving relationships between the USA and North Korea, the hermit kingdom is still a nuclear threat, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said. If relations deteriorate, however, and North Korea does not carry out full denuclearisation, the threat of world war three could be real. Should nuclear war break out, where are the best places for Britons in the UK to take refuge? Nuclear bunkers can be found up and down the country. Some have previously been built for military operations and some are now derelict. So where are they?

The 240-acre bunker is in an old underground Bath stone quarry known as Spring Quarry, in Horsham, Surrey. After the Cold War, it was taken over by the MoD.
