Akva is an innovative solution to the risk of power outages after extreme events such as Hurricanes. The solution utilizes the flow of high water through storm drains to pump excess water to a storage tank to be used for hydropower generation after the storm passes. This solution was designed in the Honors STEM class at Green Mountain High School for the Red Rocks Community College High School Innovation Challenge.
