Dr. Bruce Banner and the Hulk are easily the two most unusual recurring characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only was the role of Dr. Banner recast, their dual identity means that only one of them can get the lion’s share of the screen time in any given film. Usually, that means that Banner takes center stage, with the Hulk acting as a power he needs to learn to control and harness.

However, it seems like that might be changing as well as the Hulk himself. The Avenger has gotten more screen time as of late and a shocking amount of character development. All of this progress will come to a head in Avengers: Endgame and, by the end of the film, the Hulk won’t be the same character we once knew.
