Co-op is launching a fully stocked shop at these festivals this summer

Co-op is launching a fully stocked shop at these festivals this summer There's nothing worse than running out of something at a festival. Yes, it's just a muddy field, but it feels like a world away from civilisation.  Luckily for you, the Co-op has announced a partnership with Glastonbury and a number of Live Nation festivals. The local supermarket will set up shop at these festivals to open a number of 6,000 ft. pop up shops.  The shops will contain everything you need could (well, at least all the essential items like food and drink, let's not get carried away).  The handy offering should save festival goers a huge chunk of cash, rather than having to fork out on expensive meals and pints throughout the weekend.  Expect to find food, drink and festival essentials like sandwiches, water, bacon, eggs and bread alongside the obligatory sun cream and rain ponchos. Plus that all important paracetamol for all those hangovers. Which festivals will have a pop up Co-op? My earliest memories of going to the shop were to buy one penny packets of sherbet! Since then, one by one, the shops have closed and for several years we’ve had no shops at all.  "But now, thankfully we’ve managed to persuade the Co-op people to make a pledge and commit to trying to provide our marvellous village with a model village shop. We’re SO lucky and my enthusiasm is shared right across the village!"  Amanda Jennings, Co-op director of marketing, commented on the Live Nation festivals,  “This summer we are really excited to build on the success of our festival stores, continuing to get closer to customers with our unique convenience offer. Last year was our festival debut with Live Nation and the vast range of products available in the shop was a pleasant surprise to many festival goers.  “This year, they’ll be expecting to see us and rely on Co-op to provide the essentials to lighten the load, and with the two new festivals, we’re making our performance bigger and even better than ever.”  You'll be dancing in the aisles.
