Conor McGregor should get a piece of the UFC – Artem Lobov | Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show

Artem Lobov calls in to Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show to discuss signing with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, citing that the promotion gave him the best offer. Lobov says that he has never fought bare knuckle before, but is confident he can succeed with his experience from MMA (2:00). Lobov states that he plans to show up for every fight he is signed on for, but is still hoping to find a deal with a MMA company (4:15). Lobov predicts he will “smoke” Jason Knight in the first round, his debut fight with Bare Knuckle FC on April 6 (6:01). Lobov talks his beef with Paulie Malignaggi, who also signed with Bare Knuckle FC and his interest in facing him as his next opponent after Knight (6:49). Lobov provides his reaction to Conor McGregor’s decision to retire, saying he doesn’t actually know much on the situation and if he thinks he will eventually come back (9:41). Lobov discusses the disconnect between McGregor and the UFC, saying he was the reason the company sold for $4 billion and makes a case for McGregor to get a piece of the money as well (10:42).
