This song was written and performed by 11 year old Lakhile Dlamini one of the most prodigious talents I have ever had the pleasure and opportunity to teach and mentor.
Diagnosed with autism at a very young age, Lakhile has developed the most enviable gift for music with the most uncanny ability to play and record complex multi-layered song arrangements on the keyboard all in virtually one take.
We (Lakhile's mum and me) challenged Lakhile to write a song and this is the result. It was an amazing experience because Lakhile wrote the whole song in 30 minutes and already had the melody and song structure completely nailed when he played it to us for the first time!
This song writing experience has inspired Lakhile to write more so look out for further material from this exceptionally gifted young musician.
