Incredible Plane Spotting at Innsbruck Airport | 23-03-19 Hi all, heres a place I can now tick off my bucket list, Innsbruck has been on my to do list for some time and I wish I had visited sooner. The place is stunning, especially for plane spotting! In my opinion Innsbruck Airport offers some of the best views of planes in Europe. As you will notice in the video, the airport is located in a valley situated around high altitude mountains in the heart of the Austrian Alps. Typically winds vary alot here so either approaches are in use, while I was there only one plane landed on Runway 08, the rest departed and landed on 26, however either approach offers some stunning scenery with the snow topped mountains.

Albeit Innsbruck isn't as good for variety compared to places like Salzburg, the scenery does make up for it. Saturday's, the day I visited on is the ski charter day, or the best day of the week for movements here. Particularly during the morning hours, I spent 3 hours on the free observation deck at the airport and caught quite a few movements in that time. I would of stayed longer however I also wanted to venture into the city - which was also beautiful

Movements include: TUI 737 and 757's, Thomas Cook A321's, Transavia 737's, SAS 737's and A321, BRA Avro RJ100, British Airways A320, Eurowings 737, Easyjet A320, Austrian E195 and Dash 8's and a couple of private jets.

Not a lot in terms of variety as I said, but it was still interesting to see these aircraft amazingly pilot in and out of this spectacular airport, one i certainly will be coming back to

I hope you enjoy this video, and if you do feel free to hit the like button and subscribe if you're new
