Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Thursday hinted at sweeping reforms and changes in the Revenue Department, including changing the nomenclature of District Collectors into District Administrative Officers. “Collections do not exist anymore. The term District Collector was coined by the Britishers since their job then was collection from the public, but now they are administrators and the term has become redundant,” he said. Addressing a huge public meeting here, the Chief Minister also underscored the importance of issuing ‘inclusive title’ to land-holders in the State which would make them completely free of litigation.
