Grieve Parade preferred truck route

Grieve Parade preferred truck route Did you know the West Gate Tunnel Project, associated road tolling and the introduction of truck bans north of the freeway will result in 4,500 extra trucks per day in Millers Road? Council is calling on the state and federal governments to support the upgrade of Grieve Parade as a preferred truck route. This would shift the extra truck traffic into the industrial precinct, rather than use Millers Road, which traverses residential areas, activity centres and school zones. Throughout the life of the West Gate Tunnel Project, Council has always advocated for Grieve Parade to be the preferred truck route and Council continues to advocate this position to relevant authorities across a range of platforms.
In the lead up to the federal election, Council is sending off letters to all candidates, asking them to consider the needs of the Hobsons Bay community.
