Usapang Batas | What You Need To Know About The Minimum Overtaking of Cyclists Distance Act-Part 1

Usapang Batas | What You Need To Know About The Minimum Overtaking of Cyclists Distance Act-Part 1 I sat down recently with Cong. Antonio Tinio, the principal author of House Bill 8911, otherwise known as the Minimum Overtaking of Cyclists Distance Act which was approved in its third and final reading at the Lower House of Congress last February 2019. It provides that the driver of a motor vehicle overtaking and passing a bicycle that is traveling in the same direction shall maintain a minimum overtaking distance of 1.5 meters between any part of the motor vehicle and any part of the bicycle or its cyclist.

I asked him about the features of this bill that he sponsored. Check out the first part of that interview.

Hi. My name is Carlo. I'm an educator by profession but a digital entrepreneur by passion. I work as a Guidance Counselor on weekdays and an entrepreneur after work and during weekends. I own 2 bike shops which started out of my hobby - cycling.

As a bike shop owner for the past four years, I have encountered hundreds of cycling newbies who have struggled to find the right bike for them because of the lack of information about bikes, parts, and accessories available in our local cycling industry. This channel aims to fill that void.
