It's very true that we often find ourselves lost in that moment when faced with setbacks and failure because we've not trained ourselves enough to handle situations.
The news of the young chap who ended his life on social media because He failed Jamb for the second time really got me thinking 🤔
MY QUESTION IS,
How could someone who had attempted something just twice tag himself a failure?
What exactly is failure?
Who do we term a failure?
Would we then call a child trying to walk, and falling in the process a failure? Or maybe he should just remain on the floor after the first attempt.
As far as I'm concerned, failure has a purpose. There is a reason we fail In life, a reason we're met with some these challenges.
Only that when faced with these pains,we allow ourselves to be blinded from the bigger picture.
We shouldn't look at failure for all it's negative connotation, unhappiness or challenges that it brings us
Instead let's accept the failure that life has dealt us with, and try not to dwell in it.
DID I HEAR SOMEONE ASK WHY?
Well, Because failure helps to build and breed a foundation for a future filled with success. It’s through our failures that we make deeper insights into life.
Once we learn to accept failure, and understand that it's a lesson that we can learn in life to grow, only then would we find us moving away from that failure and onto something new.
Let's encourage our wards, and also teach ways to deal with fears and failures.
Dear parents, slow down on your expectations from these children, and do any with unnecessary comparison.
