It was a perfect day. A new location with stunning nature and nice weather. What more does one need... The forest was "modified", therefore I wasn't expecting anything old... or even anything at all. I also assumed that it must have already been detected many times (which probably was the case). Nevertheless there were still some finds left.
It started with a musket ball and continued... The finds were relatively rare, but they were there (just spread apart from each other).
The lack of buttons and coins at the beginning (in comparison to the amount of musket balls) surprised me the most. The brooch came unexpected. It was a very nice find.
The "50 Reichspfennig" coin was classified by the Deus as iron (even in the air)... I almost left it in the ground and was real surprised when I saw it. More info on this coin:
Was this Deus specific behavior? The coin is made of nickle and magnetic. Maybe other metal detectors are acting similar... Who knows...
The cannon ball came totally unexpected, but at the right point (near the end).
It was a great adventure (from my perspective). I hope you had a little bit of fun too.
