The PRC report has been delayed for the time being and the government is now looking into IR payment

The government has set up Telangana State First Pay Revision Commission (PRC) on May 18, 2018 with Mohammed Ali Rafat and Umamaheshwar Rao led by retired IAS CR Biswal. The government has ordered the report to be submitted within 3 months but the report has not been submitted so far

During the state legislature's midterm elections last December, the TRS promised to extend the retirement age of state employees from 58 to 61 years. The retirement age proposal is likely to be discussed at a state cabinet meeting on the 18th of this month. With the recent AP government's decision to abolish the CPS, the state government is also keen to see the CPS cancellation in the state in a Cabinet visit.
