The Met Office has issued four yellow warnings for severe weather, warning of heavy, prolonged rain which could lead to flooding and disrupt transport. Some parts could even see a month’s worth of rainfall in a single day, forecasters have warned. Temperatures are expected to remain well below the average for this time of year as the week goes on. The warnings span Monday to Thursday and cover southeastern parts of the UK. According to the Met Office forecast, many places will see about an inch of rainfall, while isolated spots could see up to three inches. The average monthly rainfall for the southeast in June is about two inches.
