There are Zero basilica in Scotland. None on Ben Nevis. 4 in England.
The Bell called Big Ben, the clock tower is now called the Elizabeth Tower, having been only called "clock tower" officially before 2012.
It was not named after a 5 foot 4" man named Ben.
It has no quartz crystals in its clockwork mechanism...

Nevis does have some deposits of QuartzDiorite... But nothing great to mention or become worthwhile digging up.
As for being knighted giving you a seal/ stamp to use instead of a signature... A title & ceremony only... I think they were thinking of the ROYAL Seal which only the monarch/ royalty are given for using on official documents.
