25 July 2019 Time-lapse: Exceptionally hot

25 July 2019 Time-lapse: Exceptionally hot A time-lapse of the hottest July day, and the second hottest of any day in UK records. Thursday 25 July 2019 saw exceptionally high temperatures both across the UK and Western Europe thanks to southerly winds, widely reaching the mid-to-high thirties Celsius! The day itself was very sunny with some convective cloud, as well as a very warm wind. The night following was then also exceptionally warm and humid.

Here are the times of key events in the video. These are the times on the clock in the video, not the video time itself.

03:20 -- Dawn (even though the time-lapse stars later)
04:10 -- Lowest temperature (20.5°C)
05:12 -- Sunrise
13:15 -- Solar noon (56.2° above the horizon)
16:00 -- Highest temperature (34.5°C)
21:17 -- Sunset
23:08 -- Dusk (even though the time-lapse ends earlier)

Day length: 16h 5m
