‘Dirty’ beaches due to fecal bacteria in Alabama and Florida A sampling of 25 beach sites in Alabama showed 21 were potentially unsafe due to bacteria levels on at least one day in 2018

The Environment America Research and Policy Center analysis looked at 2,620 beaches across the U.S.

According to the study, more than half of all those tested were potentially unsafe for swimming on at least one day 2018.
