Gay Icon Jim Obergefell Unexpectedly Comes out as an Atheist

In 2015, the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage nationwide in Obergefell v. Hodges, dealing a heavy blow to Christian extremists. At the 2019 American Atheists Convention, Jim Obergefell unexpectedly came out for the second⁠—as an atheist.
