হুগলির গুড়াপের শিবপুর গ্রামের চন্দ্রকান্ত কুমারের হাতেই ভারতের চন্দ্রাভিযানের চাবিকাঠি। চন্দ্রকান্তর বানানো অ্যান্টেনাই ইসরোর প্রধান ভরসা হবে চন্দ্রযান ২-এর অভিযানে। চন্দ্রকান্ত চন্দ্রযান-২ মিশনের ডেপুটি প্রোজেক্ট ডিরেক্টর (টেকনিক্যাল)। গ্রামের বাড়িতে থাকেন বাবা মধুসূদন কুমার ও মা অসীমা কুমার। চন্দ্রকান্তর ছোট ভাই শশীকান্ত বেঙ্গালুরুতে ইসরোয় চাকরি করেন। বাবা-মা দুই ছেলের সঙ্গে চাঁদকে জুড়েছিলেন। তবে স্বপ্নেও ভাবেননি বড় ছেলে চন্দ্রকান্তর নামের সঙ্গে সগর্বে জড়িয়ে থাকবে ভারতের চন্দ্রাভিযানের পরিকল্পনা। আজ সকালে মাকে ফোন করেছিলেন চন্দ্রকান্ত। কথা হয়েছে পরিবারের লোকজনের সঙ্গে।The son of a Bengali farmer, Chandrakanta Kumar is a key part of Chandrayaan-2, India's most ambitious space project. Even though the launch of the lunar mission was postponed, the family could not be any more proud their son's achievements. Chandrakanta's father, Madhusudan Kumar, who lives in Shibpur village in Hooghly district with his wife, was up all night on Sunday to catch the launch live along with the entire village. After joining Isro in 2001, Chandrakanta climbed the ladder steadily to become a key scientist in the prestigious Chandrayaan-2 project.
