THOUSANDS of SOLDIERS prepare for a BRIGADE-LEVEL EXERCISE at National Training Center! Army / National Guard Update: Multiple THOUSANDS of SOLDIERS make final preparations before BRIGADE-LEVEL EXERCISE at National Training Center!

Official release: June 30, 2019, FORT IRWIN, California. - Over 4,200 Soldiers made final preparations before Operation Hickory Sting goes live! The over 4,000 Soldiers are comprised not only from the 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT) but also from the Ohio National Guard, South Carolina National Guard, and West Virginia National Guard, along with the Moldovan Army. The operation focuses on combined arms maneuvers and collective gunnery at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, providing the best and most current combat training available in the U.S. Army preparing the ABCT for deployment overseas later this fall.
