Myxoma is the most common benign primary cardiac tumour, accounting for 20% to 30% of intracardiac tumour. Myxoma are usually single, mobile ,lobular, irregular with variegated echotexture and occur in the left atrium in 75% of cases where they most often arise from the area of fossa ovalis.
Carney Complex is a syndrome of Myxoma, endocrine hyperfunction and skin pigmentation.
