Huawei's HarmonyOS unveiled: Could it catch on?

"Harmony" – the word took on a new meaning Friday as Chinese company Huawei unveiled its highly-anticipated homegrown operating system Hong Meng, or HarmonyOS in English. Huawei and its smartphone users now have a backup plan for Android. It offers critical reassurance at a time when the telecom giant is facing a U.S. clampdown.
