The ketogenic diet has been exploding in popularity lately. Initially designed decades ago as a dietary, therapeutic agent to combat epileptic seizures, it has more recently been adopted as a favored means to shed pounds, gain energy, and boost mental clarity.
The ketogenic diet is basically a diet composed of shifting around your macronutrient intake to favor fats, restrict carbs, and have a moderate amount of protein. When attempting to eat within this basic construct of the ketogenic lifestyle, challenges can and do arise.
