There are some reasons why China is a very remarkable country. Some of them could be its beautiful landscapes, its culture or the mystery that surrounds the whole continent. The inhabitants of this nation have very particular characteristics; this is probably the reason why some of the Chinese habits are so weird for foreign people.
Here we enlist some of this peculiar Chinese features.
1- In Yiwu, China, they eat boiled eggs in young, virgin kids’ urine. It is considered a delicacy.
2- Compliments are a vanity sign, so that you cannot kindly accept them.
3- Contrary to what happens in other countries, in China, the police are more likely to use geese instead of dogs. Geese are more aggressive and have a better vision than dogs.
4- The greeting between a man and a woman consists of a few words only (ni hao=hello) and shaking hands. Cheek kisses are not practiced.
5- Almost one million of female fetuses are aborted each year, and tens of thousands of female newborns babies are abandoned due to the only child policy.
6- They place a needle in the collar of their uniforms to teach soldiers to keep their chins up.
7- According to current religiosity, people should not enter to Buddhist temples with money.
8- Chinese people eat around 4 million cats every year.
9- They pass by the McAuto to pick up food, then they enter to the place to eat they orders.
10- When they are doing exercises in the squares, which is a common practice for Chinese, they use tree trunks for massage and support.
11- Despite being a laic country, there are more than 52 million of Christians.
12-Weddings are held from Monday to Friday, and all expenses are shared between two bride and groom couples per each restaurant. All guests upon arrival will give their donation to the grooms. The favorite dates for weddings are 7 and 9.
13- China executes four times more prisoners than the rest of the countries in the world together.
Every country has its particular traditions, but China´s are likely the most bizarre for those who do not live there.
