*Actually, this COULD be a good exercise if it were done correctly...alas...it is not!

* One of the main problems is so many folks have a poor posture from leaning forward over a desk all day or by chronically adopting similar, non-ergonomically correct postures. Because of this, thoracic extension is inadequate and disallows proper performance of the Good Morning movement.

* Done correctly, this is a great movement that hits the hamstrings, glutes, lumbar erector muscles as well as, actually, ALL of the paraspinal muscles, right up to the cervical region of the spine.

* It is imperative that you hinge at the hips, as I demonstrate in this video. By doing this, the hips bear most of the energy from this movement instead of dangerously displacing it to the lumbar spine...and this can mean bad news for the back!
