According to CGTN, It has been proven that the "One Country, Two Systems" principle is totally feasible and enjoys broad public support, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Wednesday.

Xi made the remarks during a meeting with Ho Iat Seng, who will take office as the fifth-term chief executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) on December 20.

Noting that this year marks the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to China, Xi hailed the successful practice of the "One Country, Two Systems" principle with characteristics of Macao.

Led by Chief Executives Edmund Ho Hau Wah and Chui Sai On, the Macao SAR government has united people from all social sectors in promoting rapid economic growth, continuous improvement in people's well-being as well as social stability and harmony, Xi said.
