White House Claims Trade War Doesn't Impact The Economy

The White House said the trade war between the U.S. and China has had a minimal impact on the economy. According to Business Insider, official data recently released disputes that claim. Customs data shows that trade fell sharply for both sides in August. China not only shipped fewer goods that month than thy previous year but its American imports fell as well. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said “there have been difficulties” in some situations but said they were balanced by exempted products.
