Canada Election: Scheer says Toronto subway lines to expand, receive funding if elected

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer made a transit and infrastructure announcement in Markham, Ont., on Oct. 8, the day after the federal leaders debate.

If elected prime minister, Scheer said his government would build a subway extension in Toronto, extending the Yonge line by 7.4 km, and will assist in the building and funding of the Ford government's proposed "Ontario line."
