During the recent InvolveHim Workshop at evolveHer, we surveyed the attending business leaders, entrepreneurs and investors to rate their knowledge of workplace terms. I was surprised to find that 1 out of 4 never heard of the term ‘Impostor Syndrome.’ Even those who had heard of it didn’t know what to do about it. They were hungry to learn how to manage employees who suffered from these feelings of inadequacy, self-doubt and intellectual illegitimacy (which override feelings of accomplishment or success).
That’s why in this week’s “Fearless in 5,” Wet Cement CEO Jennifer Willey shares five ways you can better manage folks on your team who suffer from Impostor Syndrome.
If someone in your network fits the criteria or manages direct reports who exhibit Imposter Syndrome, please share this video with them. Understanding that this is a real issue is the first step in being able to shift mindsets and behaviors to achieve more satisfaction, confidence and better business results.
