8 Photo tips resulting from a (mostly) Shetland Pony session Here are some more beginner tips - only 8 - if you are planning to photograph a horse at a sables, you've never been to a stables, or never seen a horse in real life!

They are not all to do with photography, but are relevant to the subject:

Tip #1 - Don't forget the ears?
Tip #2 - If you're photographing the whole horse aim below belly
Tip #3 - Give the horse a clean - maybe?
Tip #4 - Check background detail (smarts capture everything)
Tip #5 -Remove blankets / covers
Tip #6 - Things between you and the horse
Tip #7 - Watch out if someones holding the horse!
Tip #8 - Lighting angle and source direction
