Thanks for coming everyone… A year ago I had a simple insight that creating art without an audience is more like praying …it was a bit more complicated than that but it led to my determination to dig up cassette recordings I made at coffee houses to weekly rent apartments and see if I could transmit my “prayers” in a way that might be more…well…more…
And here we are now…Broken Hearts and Gemstones… with extreme gratitude for you taking the time to be an audience…You have already filled my dreams… I so hope you find some value for your time
The story line metaphors revolve around the city life or crowded environments and the country or where nature dominates over all. Searching through storms to settle with a sense of love and comfort is the perspective and meant to be communicated through the solo ambiance of a single artist performing all the parts in each song….some real talent here!
Some of these songs go back over 45 years; but the roots kept being transplanted along my journeys.
All along the way great artists crossed my path and built my desire to get to this point of performance: Herman Balder, Mike Linn, Roy Barbara, Bob Russell, Rich Hall, Chuck Lorre, Ken Venick, Ken Stange. Greg Mills, Richard Thomas, Joe Brady…All gave me lesions in music and life.
