You can put the light back into someone's life this Christmas. Christmas is a time for giving and sharing, both within families and with those we have never met. It is a time when many find more joy in the pleasure of giving than they do in receiving.
Sadly, around 2.5 million people in the UK will be sharing their Christmas this year with cancer. Cancer and it's treatments can rob those it touches of many things. Hair and eyebrows come to mind, but what about those things less talked about - self-esteem? Confidence? Even friends?
Our sand story is about Sally. She shares how cancer affected not just her, but her whole family. Even with the love and devotion of her husband and sons, she felt she had lost her femininity and her identity. After the Look Good Feel Better workshop her mood lifted, she looked in the mirror and the light had come back into her eyes. Her family saw the light too, they felt they had their wife and mother back.
