Walter Duggan School is located in Westville, Nova Scotia. It is a P-6 school of just over 400 students. Our grades 4-6 classes are proud to present “Shine a Light” by Bryan Adams! Our technology students and teacher have been a great help putting together our video, with lots of help from the community!
Westville was once a thriving mining town and has struggled with economic issues since the mine closed. The townspeople are proud of the mining tradition and the fact that per capita the town sent more soldiers to war than any other in Canada. This video became more of a venue for teaching the students about the town then I had originally planned!
