One year ago, amid mounting concern about the future of British wrestling in the face of WWE's expansion with its NXT UK operation and other factors, Pete Dunne tweeted that the UK wrestling scene was safe and would continue to grow. Since then, no less than four UK promotions, including some big names, have either shut down or announced plans to close its doors. His tweet has not aged well.
