TTM Chuckya Grab No Joystick Allowed

Using a legitimate setup, I have Chuckya grab Mario from the wind joystickless. This allows us to reach much more of the course for the no joystick allowed challenge and likely collect some stars.

I knew that it was possible to manipulate Chuckya to grab Mario on his way up the wind, so I tried to do so without the joystick. I managed to get close to the 1-up, but not with a suitable angle. Ds273 ( realized that letting a Goomba hit Mario at the perfect angle, we could then keep his angle constant modulo 512 with a certain set of movements. Now we just needed to manipulate Chuckya into the corner. Since we can't move fast or change our angle, this is much tougher without the joystick. I eventually solved this by setting up Mario at such an angle that he can go under Chuckya, making Chuckya turn away from the edge (so he doesn't get stuck), then luring him into the corner.
