Using Debt for Stock Buybacks Resulting in Negative Equity

(May 1, 1995) Warren Buffett comments on the use of debt in stock buyback resulting in negative shareholder's equity. Warren said that there is nothing special about negative shareholder's equity, but he noted that company should only buy its stocks when the company cannot allocate excessive capital at attractive project and when the stock is on sales.
