What Does It Mean To Be Spiritual?

Many people have many definitions of what it means to be spiritual. I give my opinion on this topic. Being spiritual to me is being aware of this human experience and all that comes with it, including the bad and striving to overcome that bad with a practice. Using this practice versus being used by the practice or religion is what being spiritual means to me.
