In this music theory video lesson, we will learn about the basics of contrary voice leading. Contrary voice leading is a type of contrapuntal motion where two musical voices move in opposite directions. Due to this, it doesn’t matter by what interval size the voices move. They could move in half-steps, whole steps, or a mixture thereof, just so long as they in opposing directions.
