Hundreds of millions have been affected by data breaches under Capital One and most infamously Equifax, but SYNTHETIC identity theft is a new threat which puts all Americans and their children at risk. This new tactic pulls personal data from MULTIPLE individuals to create an artificial persona, through which scammers are able to apply for loans and wreak havoc on credit scores of unsuspecting victims.
