This is a fictional center. This AU graduate course work for ECE 631 building Family and community partnerships.
“Hello parents my name is Quentina Offord
I am the owner and the director of TLC, which means Tessa Learning Center. The center is named after my own daughter. So because its name after my daughter So, I am big on family. So the first thing I want to say is to thank you for choosing us for your children as their provider. We are in the process of becoming one of Texas licenses childcare center that will utilize TS gold to make sure the child’s needs are met in the center. Then we also have several opportunities that you as a parent can get involved with the center also by having events such as family night where the center host a movie night and families can get together and watch a movie. Then we will have opportunities that parents can volunteer in the classroom and help out the teacher. Then we will have special events such as muffins with mom, donuts with dad, and breakfast with grandparents. We want you feel welcome in the center and keep you in the loop, and we will have different types of communication available for you.
The teacher has to have a class dojo set up as form communication and as well an update bulletin board outside of their classroom. Plus the teacher will send home a daily gram. The daily gram will be used for behavior and your daily activities. The teacher will have scheduled a time for parents to meet with them if needed.
On top of all that the center will issue a monthly newsletter plus send out a mass email about every event that will happen in the center. Studies show that parents involvement in their child’s education makes better grades in school and higher self-esteem in the child. It takes a village to raise a child, and TLC wants to be a part of an essential part of your village.
