Should Your Second Chair Open The Case

Should Your Second Chair Open The Case Should your second chair open your case? Well...it depends. If you have a second chair that is as deep into the case as you are and is doing as much work as you are then it could be a good idea to let him/her open the case for you. This is even more true if that person is a good opener and can do a good job. If, on the other hand, your second chair is just doing his/her part of the case and hasn't learned all the evidence in the case you should not let them open the case.

Opening statement is the second most important part of a trial, don't waste it by giving it someone who is not up to speed on the case.
