How Supreme Court will implement decision on Pension for Private Sector Employees - The top court upheld a 2018 Kerala High Court order that had asked the retirement fund body to give pension to all retiring employees on the basis of their full salary, rather than capping the figure on which contribution is calculated at a maximum of Rs 15,000 per month

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि संगठन (ईपीएफओ) द्वारा केरल हाईकोर्ट के आदेश के खिलाफ दायर स्पेशल लीव पिटीशन को खारिज कर दिया है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट के इस फैसले से निजी क्षेत्र की कंपनियों से रिटायर होने वाले कर्मचारियों को अधिक पेंशन मिलने का रास्ता साफ हो गया है। केरल हाईकोर्ट ने सितंबर 2014 के फैसले में अधिकतम 15 हजार रुपए मासिक वेतन पर ही पेंशन की गणना का नियम खत्म कर दिया था। साथ ही आखिरी साल के औसत मासिक वेतन के आधार पर पेंशन तय करने का पुराना नियम बहाल कर दिया।
